EVA is the Civil Engineer of record for the proposed site improvements at the FPDCC Beaubien Woods Boat Launch. The project proposes to reconstruct an existing concrete pavement boardwalk along the Little Calumet River as well as repair/replace existing retaining walls. The scope includes a prefabricated canoe/kayak launch into the river to provide an accessible means for canoe and kayak paddlers to enjoy the water. The proposed canoe/kayak launch will float on the river and accommodate changes in water level while still providing comfortable pedestrian and boating access. Coordination with the City of Chicago, Cook County, and IDNROWR was required for the project due to its proximity to the Little Calumet River. The project was completed in Summer 2025.
